Prince has long been seen as an innovator in creating tennis products, and in particular in the sphere of tennis racquets.
Prince were the first company to develop "oversized" and "long-body" racquets, and continue to be innovators in the field to this day.
Such leading ATP and WTA Tour professionals as Nikolay Davydenko, Maria Sharapova, Jelena Jankovic and the Bryan brothers all use Prince as their racquet of choice.
Whilst there are a number of different sub-sets of Prince racquets, they all generally contain the same generic features.
The overall head size of a Prince racquet is around 102 square inches, which is pretty average for a high-end tennis racquet in the modern age.
The length of a premier Prince racquet head is 27 inches, which is bang-on standard.
Basically, all adult-sized racquets have heads between 27 and 27.5 inches in length, there's not a whole lot of difference between most brands.
The composition of Prince tennis racquets are usually a combination of graphite, titanium and tungsten, with a swing speed between moderate and fast.
The grip type is the "DuraPro+" branding, and the string pattern is 16 mains and 19 crosses.
Prince racquets are known for their impressive racquet-head speed, which results in ample power for the player.
Prince racquets generally kick well on service, and equally suit the volleyer, as well as the baseline player.
The racquet head's combination generally allows for excellent power through backhand shots, and service returns usually are helped by excellent racquet speed and power.
Prince racquets are renowned for their excellent maneuverability, they are light to handle on average, handle topspin very well, and most importantly, do not compromise on control for a player.
They offer excellent feedback, combined with terrific comfort and a solid, impenetrable grip.
Prince racquets are extremely versatile, and come in a range of prices.
Mid-range racquets, which are suited for players around the 3-star mark, are generally priced between $89 and $120 US.
For racquets similar to what the professionals use, designated for 4.5-5 star-rated players, racquets are priced between $160 and $200 US.
Prince is a well-known specialist brand in the tennis field, and would be a good choice of racquet for the tennis lover of any level.
The diversity and pure number of different types and feels of Prince racquets on the market mean that all types of players, in all types of climates and surfaces would easily find the right Prince racquet for their game.
