There is really interesting meaning of the word "Architect" that sounds very specific. Let us come to the real point of the meaning of the architect. Some people get it as a creator or designer. They are absolutely right but the real full meaning of Architect is a person who is employed with skills in the planning, designing, and creating a building's construction. The word "architect" is derived from the Latin word "architectus". This Latin word is also in turn derived from Greek word "arkhitekton" (chief builder). If you view meaning of an architect in a broadest angle, then you get it as a person who translates a user's requirements into a building environment. These architects have to make their minds to learn the safety and well being of the general public. They play a significant role for the public as a professionally- qualified individual. They have to possess specialized education and high experience for gaining a license to practice architecture. These architects can also gain a fame by means of receiving prize such as the Pritzker Prize, also known as the "Nobel Prize for architecture." There are many other such prizes in the architecture such as the American Institute of Architects and Royal Institute of British Architects, and many others.

To become architecture, architects must be deeply involved in understanding the exact needs of building construction. Any person or individual can become an architect without having knowledge of construction requirements. So that knowledge and a wide range of methods required for building constitute very much essential. The business practice of architecture includes deep technical knowledge, high management skills, and good understanding of business practice. During practice, an architect can avail the option of receiving commission from a client may be an individual, a board of directors, a government agency or even a corporation. The architect is also considered as the coordinator of a team known as the "design team". These architects even have to face high priority or tight deadlines for completing the building with the specified time or period. They have to work for long hours, weekends and even if possible night shifts. Architects have a very good option to deal with a wide range of government jurisdictions on local and federal levels, regarding numerous regulations and building codes. Before the start of the construction, architects have to draw the diagram of building on a sheet and discuss with the client to get it approved. After finalizing, the construction as per the architect would start.
