Will People Eventually Write Their Own Version of the Bible, in the Manner of, Say, Wikipedia?

In a sense this sort of thing is already being done. That is, people writing their own version of the Bible. There are several cults, touting their beliefs as religion, which have done exactly that. Without naming names of giving direct references to any "religious cults", I examine several instances where the Bible has been changed to fit the beliefs of certain groups of people who wish to form their own "religion" and live as they wish to live and not the way God wishes them to live.

To begin, if you don't want to live the way the Bible portrays, then why can't you just leave it alone? Just live the way you wish, if that's what you must do, and stop trying to change what is already written to fit your life desires. If a Wikipedia type bible is what you wish to have, then create one and leave the Holy Bible alone. If you wish to copy certain elements of the Holy Bible, copy them, but leave the Book itself as it is. And don't come back claiming that what you have created is the Holy Bible, Wikipedia Style. I dare say that what we will end up with will definitely not resemble the true Bible in many ways.

But then, the devil has always had a lack of original creativity and when a new cult arises it usually was formed from something he copied from somewhere else. And this is exactly how the devil's followers are as well. The basis of everything they have is copied or/and outright stolen from someone or something else. Usually it is the Holy Bible that is targeted and then they come around telling people that this is "God's Word". There are so many wolves-in-sheep's-clothing these days. And when they talk about their god, they are not talking about the God in Heaven. They want you to be deceived into thinking this, but it's the god of Hell that they are talking about.

And then we get into the modern English translations of the Bible. I, for one, can use but a single reference volume, do a little studying, literally define several key words in random verses, and plainly see that a lot of this "translation" is nothing but guess work. Some of the modern English translations are so far off the track that it cannot even be recognized as a Bible any longer. This is just one more case of man re-creating God in man's image rather than accepting that God created man in His own image. And once we start doing this, I am certain that Wikipedia Bible Re-writes will follow.
