I stare into the beauty of your face,
Unable to release the word "Goodbye" from my pouting lips.
They pull us apart as I begin to cry;
Pining for your tender embrace.
I stare back at you, attempting to run and flee.
Flee,
Back to you where my heart will forever be.
Into that vehicle you go as they push and shove.
We both should have known better and what will happen.
Off into the distance you go,
And I am left here only to pray to God above...
Pray to God that home you'll shortly arrive.
"We both should have known",
I scream as I weep on this whithered stone.
The seconds feel like hours, and the days feel like years.
My heart is forever burning for you and will constantly thrive.
