Spiritual self-being explored

by Steve Marshall

Created on: May 20, 2008

What is the spiritual self? What is the human self? What is soul? How does it all work? Who is it that is doing the exploring?

In this short article, I will try to explore a bit, our spiritual self, explaining it, as far as I understand it all functioning, and working in the overall scheme of things, and of creation.

The spiritual self is the self that exists in spirit. This means that it is a conglomeration of the other selves, but has now become linked to spirit. The soul was created from God, and spirit, or love, gives it life. Soul exists, because of God's love, for it.

That said, what then is the spiritual self? Is it only really our soul?

Yes and no, the spiritual self contains soul, but another aspect of this spiritual self is your human self. All are contained within your spiritual self. When you realise this, you begin to live then, only spiritually. You are of course at your heart, soul, but you have other aspects of yourself, that are attached to soul, to allow you to take your spiritual journey. All journey's are of course, only ever spiritual journeys being taken by your spiritual self.

These aspects are all parts of your spiritual self. They consist of your human self, and then all of your other selves, that are attached to your human, but extend into the other planes of spiritual creation, as well. The emotional body is also a part of your spiritual self, and so with the mental body. You have numerous facets, and parts of this spiritual self. The spiritual self is you, all combined. The spiritual self is the whole of you, nothing left out, or forgotten about.

The spiritual self is the part of you that is the whole of you, but the part that others connect to, and see as coming from the spiritual side of you, but never understanding, that all is spiritual. Spirituality comes only from embracing this totality, and seeing, and being all of yourself, in connection, and in relation to all else. Your spirit is joined with God's spirit, only because your spirit is part of this larger spirit. It is like a tributary running alongside, and running into the greater spirit. All contain the same substance, of water in the river system, or spirit in the spiritual sense, and dimension.

Others are connecting, as they think to whatever aspect they see in you, and thinking this is all that there is. But you are always more than what people imagine you to be, or label you to be, and so are they themselves. You are never only a part, but always functioning as the whole,
