Poetry: Do you hear me?

Do you hear me

I hear you shouting through the door
"Just give me one more chance, one more
"To put things right to how they used to be,
I just want you back, just you and me"

But how can things be how they used to be
Used to be, you were not cheating on me,
Used to be, that you did not lie
Used to be, that you were just mine

"Listen to me now" I shout to you ,"its over now,
do you hear me we are through"

I sit here and listen to you shout and rage
Of how you will do anything, even be my slave
I sit here and listen to you, you sound pathetic to me
My heart is now hardened, it is over for me

I shout back to you now "Just leave me be
I want no more of you now, do you hear me"
You had your chance, it is over now
I start a new life now, today, so go now.
