Your home is a total gym. All that you need for a good workout has already been paid for. By utilising normal household items you can have an intensive workout for free. If you are already fit you will more to keep improving, but if you are like the rest of us here are some good tips to get you fit for free.
1. Never take anyone's advice over that over a professional in their field
Take my advice, but do your own research, if you don't agree with my methods or anyone else does not, then I commend you on critically analysing the information. Always take caution when receiving information on health and exercise.
2. The internet has a wealth of resources, use it.
Google terms such as fitness, exercise and nutrition. Never take anything at face value, but these resources are free and can teach you a lot.
3. Cans of food make ideal dumbbells
You can change the weight of these dumbbells easily by grabbing different size cans. You can do lots of free weights exercises such as dumbbell curls, lateral raises, flyers etc with cans. Free weight exercises are easy to find online.
4. Walking, jogging and running are all free.
This is a good way to get around and avoid traffic congestion. You never have to wait in line for treadmills and you can do it as long as you want without holding others up. This can also be an interesting way to meet other people. Walking the dog is an ideal excuse to get out.
5. You body is the perfect tool for resistance.
Pushups, sit ups, lunges, squats and many more exercises need no equipment. You can do these easily in the privacy of your own home. You can back these up with your own choice of music.
6. Small changes lead to big results
Start small and stick to it. Once you get used to doing small amounts of exercise or make small diet changes you will adjust to them. Once they become normal it will be easier to incorporate other exercises or nutritional advice. Going big early leads to failure in most cases, take your time but stick to it.
7. Record your exercise, make goals and achieve them
By using a small notebook you can keep track of what you have achieved. It also encourages you to stick to your program, and lets you see when you are skipping things. It will remind you of any exercise you had planned to do, so you don't forget it. Make your goals realistic, and reward yourself when you meet them.
Trust in yourself, always look at the precautions for exercises and diet plans, and look after your body, it will be its own reward.
