Why is it that when women get into relationships they become so focused on trying to make it work or make it better. If there is a man like this I haven't ever seen or heard of him. Men fall on two spectrums- the puppy dog that follows you around and suffocates you or the man that the world revolves around him and only him. Women have a tendency to put others wishes first when they fall in love. They become submissive and only care to make their loved one happy. I can't count the number of women that I know that are an exact victim of this.
My mom did everything for my dad while they were married; made his plate, brought him anything anytime he needed it, watched whatever HE wanted on TV. She never said a word and now I catch my friends doing the same things. They go out of their way to leave little notes or surprise their man with a nice home cooked dinner and candles lit. Why is it that once a woman falls in love she starts sacrificing the things that she wants. Lack of communication is the number one reason for divorce and the majority of the time the woman is the unhappy one and the man is completely unaware. When I learned this I wasn't shocked at all, because when I really stop to think about it, it's true!
The only reason those leave it to beaver relationships worked back in the day is because divorce wasn't allowed and it just wasn't even thought of. No woman is honestly happy waiting hand and foot on a man asking how his day was, making dinner, taking off his shoes, having sex just to keep them interested, taking care of everyone and everything and not even being asked how their day was or how they feel or what they want. These things can be done, but your entire world should not revolve around another a little me time is ALWAYS good for you. Take a vacation, go golfing, join a new group with some friends and enjoy life. These days divorce has become so common that people choose not to even work on their issues. They agree to disagree and part ways.
The truth is society needs to learn how to find the equilibrium in their relationships. Whether is male and female, female and female, or male and male the point is that relationships and marriages work their best when each party is enjoying life and still actually has a separate one apart from their relationship. Join activities go out with friends and give you and your significant other something to talk about at the end of the day. Your relationship can come second, right behind first, because number
