The media just loves celebrities! After all, they know that a considerable percentage of the general public is just itching to hear the latest gossip on them. What's more, there are a significant percentage of celebrities who frequently provide them with the kind of sensational material they delight in being able to pass on.

Lately it seems there is hardly a day goes past that there is not some outrageous report in the media about something one or another of the young starlets in particular has been up to. Can it all be for real? Sure it can!

Maybe some of the things we hear are blown out of proportion and I'm quite sure that many of the glossy magazine publishers gild the lily a lot because they are trying to churn out so many titillating articles every week. The headlines can be downright misleading when you actually read the content. Also, one has to wonder how many stories are actually fabricated from the most subtle snippet of rumour or innuendo. It's all in the interests of selling magazines.

Nevertheless, I believe that by far the majority of the really bizarre stories we hear about celebrity behaviour are probably real. What's more, I doubt they are often, if ever, staged for sensational purposes. That's really not necessary because these people just act this way naturally anyway.

So many of these young starlets are essentially spoiled brats whose lives are under the media spotlight. You would undoubtedly find plenty of spoiled brats living in the real world who behave quite outrageously too. We just don't hear about them all the time.

Occasionally one will come to the attention of the general public - like a certain 16-year-old Australian called Corey who has had way more than his 15 minutes of fame since earlier this year. While his parents were out of town he had advertised a party at his house on MySpace. The hoards of hoodlums that descended on the place had trashed the house and, with his parents due to return, he had taken off rather than stay and face the music.

This belligerent young man with an attitude that stood out even more than the trendy sunglasses he refused to remove for interviews, was entirely unrepentant. He should have been given a good kick up the backside, along with an appropriate punishment to make him think long and hard about his deplorable attitude. What's more he should have been ignored by the media, instead of giving him a misplaced sense of heroism. However, his infamy continues to gain
