On a recent trip to Mammoth Lake's we decided to dine out, well you don't have a vacation and do what you do at home do you. Well listed below are a few of our dining experiences, some good and some bad!
ROBERTO'S MEXICAN CAFE:
Well this is amazing, the greatest Mexican food ever! You get very large meal serving's { one serving would be enough for a small family, glad we are big eater's }. The meats are so tender and lean they melt in your mouth, the sauces are out of this world they are saucy and sweet, the homemade chips are superb and all the food sizzled on the platter's.
The staff were so friendly and helpful, very welcoming. It's very reasonably priced, it is advisable to book a table because it get's very busy and we had to wait a little while to be seated, which wasn't a problem because we enjoyed a few drinks upstairs in the fun and friendly bar. Fun, friendly and an enjoyable dining experience. It is the best Mexican we have ever tasted. So if you want a fun and friendly atmosphere, great food and great service and great company Roberto's is the place to eat.
ANGEL'S RESTAURANT:
The whole family loved this great restaurant, so quaint and so sweet, with a lovely local atmosphere we made made to feel welcome and at home on entering this establishment. Very friendly, helpful and knowledable staff. Kid friendly and a great menu full of variety which is superb! They didn't mind substitute request's for the fussy {mainly my young son}.
The food well where do I start it's to die for, the rib's so tender so sweet you could cut them with a spoon superb, the burger's were divine, a great selection of salad's{if you want to be healthy but once you smell the sweet smell of the food your diet will be put on hold}.
You have to arrive early or book in advance because it get's very busy, but when you walk through the door and dine you'll no why!
MOUNTAINSIDE GRILL:
We had a lovely dining experience here, lovely service, reasonably priced, creative menu, Very, very tasty fresh great food. What more could you ask for?
Above was our great dining experience's now the not so good,SORRY!
WHISKEY CREEK:
Great food and service and inexpensive prices, it's a lovely comfortable atmosphere the Cajun chicken pasta and the new york strip are divine. I had lipstick on my glass which i pointed out and the waitress apologized and changed it straight away it wouldn't have been a problem but it wasn't my shade I laughed to the waitress. There is a couple of small pool tables to keep the kid's entertained, a lovely little pub upstairs that has a micro brewery that churn;s out the nectar, A window seat show's the view's of the sierra's beautiful.
NEVADO'S:
In very poor repair, we waited twenty minute's and still no help. Staff were shouting at each other they were rude to customer's. We walked out and went to Subway.
THE RESTAURANT AT CONVICT LAKE:
Again standing for twenty minute's, staff at a table counting their tip's, when seated a lot of the food was not available due to the delivery driver missing? The rack of lamb was nice but the salmon was partially cooked, the rustic home feel made it a nice place but the unattentive service outweighed the good part's {the desert's are divine},A big big disappointment, maybe we caught them on a bad day, we all have those!
