I was sailing into the dense fog.
Night descended.
The sky darkened,
Giving way to an endless storm.
I chose to stay.
Not sure why.
Waves upon waves.
Pushing me closer to the rocks.
Fear surrounded me.
Hopelessness abounded.
Needing just a glimpse of light
Then . . . the calm arrived.
I throw in the anchor.
All is quiet now.
Daylight looms on the horizon.
Peace surrounds me.
For you, my calming partner,
have arrived to rescue me

Playing tag and tug o' wars,
We look up. The sky, it pours.
Suddenly, a siren roars.
"Children, quickly!
Storm Child
The musty scent
of fertile earth
has again risen
from below the
protective blanket
of pine and dying,
fallen leaves
and
"I shall fear no evil"
When all you feel about you are the
sticky webs of deceit,
