life is quite rational. However, those who question life with suicidal intentions are not rational. They let life's struggles and pains get the best of them, blocking their mind from thinking clearly. They lack self-assurance and self-confidence, and only see a dark future. Sadly, some take the easy way out via self-annihilation.
In life, things will not always go according to plan and problems will surface now and then. One broad theme that covers struggles and subsequent struggles is GOALS. We all have goals; some are easy to reach while others are difficult. If life is painful because one cannot reach that goal(s), then finding an optional solution is the way to go. For example, if one has an aspiration to become a fashion model and has difficulties, one should perhaps get into fashion photography (or anything that parallels modeling) and see where it leads. Likewise, if a person has a goal to become a singer or rapper and has difficulties, then he/she should become a songwriter or try to get employment at a record label. A secondary choice is not a permanent substitution for a goal that is set; it only serves as a catalyst for that primary goal to be reached. Therefore, one should never abandon a goal, even though the plight is hard and the naysayers argue otherwise.
If one really wants to reach a goal and has determination, then it will be conquered with time. It may take years of enduring pain and secondary positions, but that is what happens in life. For instance, when a road is closed due to construction or an accident, what happens? The driver must take an alternative road to get to his/her destination. In other words, that road closure diverts the natural route, leaving that driver no choice but to take an alternative route. The driver may even get a flat tire along the way, but it will not preclude him/her from driving to that destined location. This analogy parallels life, for life is a detour; it'll take you in different avenues and unknown places, but you will reach your destination, in spite of painful situations if you put in the work.
However, some people struggle in life because they set unrealistic goals (fantasies). This is where the famous "CAN'T" phrases come in: "Using 'can't' is a sign of weakness"; "Take 'can't' out of your vocabulary"; "Stop saying 'can't' do such and such." This is the best one: "You can do/be whatever you want, so don't use 'can't' as an excuse." Really? These phrases sound good for inspiration; but in reality, they
