The day we found out that
She had cancer, no doubt.
The last time I saw her,
I was only in fear.
Will this be he last time I have her with me here?
She was in a neck brace, Because she couldn't hold her head on her own.
As she lay there, and in pain she would groan.
I walked in to the room and burst into tears
I saw how awful she looked, and reminisced on the years.
She looked nothing like the Grandma I knew
The old her was gone, and horrid was the new.
I miss her so bad, it almost kills me.
And sometimes I don't know how to feel.
Her hair was gone, her eyes were red.
Her life was hanging by a thread.
And then she passed, with no goodbye.
I couldn't tell her, and have her see me cry.
And there her body lies in the grave,
But her souls gone to heaven above.
So until I make it up there with her,
I write these words saying "I miss you Grandma."
