Rainy days are no fun when your a kid, you cant play outside and it seems like there is never anything to do, and to top it of the day seems to get slower.
Hopefully these great fun things to do can help.

There are a few things you could do with your toddlers and younger children try letter fun get 26 sheets of A3 paper, on each sheet Draw a letter of the alphabet in a fun design, when you finish lay them on the floor and tape them together. With paint, crayons, pencil, or felt tip pen, ask your child to decorate each one, ask them to draw something associated with the letter. Once finished it could be placed on the wall of there bedroom, or toy room. Its not only teaching your child the letters of the alphabet, it will keep them occupied. Whats more you can also join in.

If you have a video camera, and a computer, and a dvd burner then why not try making movie.
This is a fun task, even more fun if you ask there friends to join in to.
Get together dress up items from around the home, while you set up the video camera get the kids to dress up. Then gather up some music Cd's, ask the children to choose one song each and one song they can all sing together as the grand finale. Find somewhere around the home that has plenty of space for them to perform. Now there ready ask them to start singing while you film. When they have finished performing there little hearts out, upload it on the computer and Burn it onto a disk. Now they are little stars. They can watch there dvd whenever they like, they could even start preparing for the sequel.
You could also try baking cookies, story writing and even a indoor Teddy's bear picnic.

For older children why not try t-shirt designing.
For this you will need a plain t-shirt, fabric paints, glitter, fabric glue, ribbons, buttons. You can use anything you like.
Prepare a work space for your children lay out the t-shirt and let them do the rest, not only is this fun but the can also wear their creation when they are finished. You don't just have to use t-shirts either you can use shoes, bags, pants even tea towels.
You also try and bring out the green finger in your children. To do this you will need a large garden pot or planter box, a black bin bag or a old sheet to lay on the floor somewhere inside your home or garage, potting mix and a selection of seeds, bulbs, or seedlings of your child's favorite flowers, vegetables, or herbs and a trowel. Get your child to start potting there plants. Whats great about this is it can be done inside but it is also portable, giving your children a all year round task. Tip: Planting vegetables and/or herbs is a great way to encourage your child to eat their home grown produce.

Rainy days don't have to be boring days, all you have to do is find your inner child and use your imagination, and your child will be wishing it will rain every day.
