Private schooling, public schooling and homeschooling, each one has advantages and dissadvantages. Homeschooling is not so popular around the world but is somewhat relevant to many people living in developed countries.
As children come before money, I would like to start with benefits they would obtain from homeschooling.
1. Children:
Smoking, drugs and alcohol: A major problem around the world. In America and Great Britain, sex is also included but let us consider it internationally. Personally, I am actually a student in a Private school and I can tell you that atleast two-third of my class has tried one of the above( I am not included). And the phenomena is still growing. They lie and even steal to get their hands on the drugs. You can find these acts in some private schools and most public schools but probably never if your child is homeschooled.
Education: Ofcourse, Schools have their facilities which are presumably aimed for education but the question is : Is it worth providing your child with the facilities that he/she is not able to understand? I would think not. I mean most the children whom I have dealt with do not even know what they are learning in class. What most schools do (except for the Choueifat Schools) is that they keep moving on without being concerned about the student. They keep teaching the harder stuff when the base is incomplete which leads to the child suffering. When the student is homeschooled it is made sure that he learns what is taught. I have also found through experience that homeschooled children are more intelligent then others.
2. Parents:
Finance: Homeschooling is relatively cheaper then private schools but is more expensive then public schools. Is it actually? I would consider it to be cheaper then public schools. I mean all the petrol used to pick and drop the student, Visit the headmaster or even the police can eventually build up.
Relaxed: Most parents feel relaxed that their child is at home and is not be bullied by some gang in the school. They would also be comfortable knowing the fact that their child is not involved in any kind of violent activities.
I would say homeschooling is better and there are now an incresing number( more and more harmful activities are being performed by adolescents all around the world) of reasons why parents should switch from private or public schooling to homeschooling.
