Trouble Getting Rebates from Uncle Sam?
Good Luck! There must be a secret to getting it. We are promised by one and great President George Bush to receive our rebates by the direct deposit we gave information for. We do not owe back on Student Loans, Alimony, Back Taxes Fees from Tax Preparers or the law, federal government of any kind. On the day we are suppose to get it, low and behold, it does not arrive. We are dissipointed of course, but we do remember it is election year now, isn't it? These things do happen only now, it is our luck.
No reason for it, as we are told when we call the hot-line for this problem. And at the hot line we will get a recorded voice and no answers. So, thank you for the extra bucks not received. Had we got our rebate when we were suppose to, it would have been a shock and a half. I have no idea what happens, if we should expect to get this in the mail in the summer or if it was just a dream happening on a half sleepless night. The IRS, has no idea about the rebate and will give no information for nothing they claim to know of. They send me back to the hot-line, in which I listen close to be told I can find out quicker online at the site.
At the site, I get nothing for information. We qualify, we are not over the salary limit, we just get nowhere with this fast. And, there is no one to find out why there is this problem. I know our government does not work on schedule, heck, it does not work, most of the time
I heard the three hundred dollars for children will be mailed to applicants in the summer because of a computer glitch, combined with human error. This is quite a surprise, don't you think? Professionals who have had much time to get this together, still are messing it up. The computers are probably used from the nineteen eighties. You know, it has always been a problem of what happens to our money in the country, this is another example.
Does anyone have this problem but me? I cannot be the only person in the United States of America, who did not get their Economic Stimulus Package.
Update: I did find, if a person owes, even if you sent in your check like we have done and the check clears, the IRS will treat it, after they do everyone else's information. This could mean after July. I did find this out after much time calling with pleas for information on our account. Bottom line, is we will wait it out. The government has never been in a hurry with paper work anyway.
