Poetry: Empty stage

EMPTY STAGE

I was sitting here, like an
Empty stage,
No desire to come to life,
Then I felt the curtain rise,
When I looked into your eyes.
I never meant to fall in love,
But like acting out a part,
As you said every line . . .
I took each one to heart.
Then the ending came,
Now the tears are warm,
And emotions are so strong,
Where do the feelings go?
Where do they go? when
Love is gone . . .
Inside of me is like a flame,
That could burn eternally,
How do I set it free?
It owns the heart of me.
And to think my life could
Change this much,
All I did was play along,
Where do the feelings go?
Where do they go? when
Love is gone . . .
I never meant to fall in love,
But like acting out a part,
As you said every line,
I took each one to heart.
Then the ending came,
Now the tears are warm,
And emotions are so strong,
Where do the feelings go?
Where do they go? when
Love is gone . . .
