With the sound of their song droning in the background Amilia frowned at the one photo she had left of the 5 years that she had spent feeling trapped and degraded by Matt. All the pain she had bottled up now sat dormant waiting to be unleashed somehow but she was such a sensitive and quiet soul she had no idea how to make things better. Battered and bruised for so long, she felt numb to the scars from the initial hurt, but the more recent abuse sat churning in the pit of her stomach, tieing knots in her digestive juices. She threw the photo aside and clenched her fists beside her. She felt so alone that she wondered how she would go on feeling this way. The pain of her break up with Matt was still raw inside her. Suddenly the tears welled in her eyes and as she stormed toward the front door she flew into a rage slamming her fists into the brick wall outside.
"Amilia!" Came a horrified voice from the other end of the driveway, "What on earth are you doing?" Amilia did not hear the person. "Amilia!" The voice repeated. Amilia turned her head toward the sound. It was her cousin Bianca. "What are you doing?" Asked Bianca curiously, "Are you trying to break your knuckles?" Amilia fell into Bianca's arms and cried uncontrollably. Bianca walked her into the house and put the kettle on after sitting her comfortably on the couch next to a full box of tissues on the coffee table.
"What's the matter Meelee? you don't often cry for nothing." Amilia looked at her cousin through swollen red eyes welled with tears that had formed miniature rivers down her cheeks. "I'm just so angry!" she finally blurted, "Matt did all those things to me only to move onto another poor girl. Sure she's skanky. She's even not someone I would want to be friends with, but nobody deserves the kind of pain that bastard inflicts onto women." She burst into tears again and buried her face in a wad of tissues that Bianca handed to her. "Hunny, you have to let him go. People need to learn from their own mistakes. You can't be the Saviour for everybody in the entire world!" Bianca explained to her distraught cousin. "Sure he did some awful things and I'm sure we would all like to see his karma bite him on the arse but letting your anger eat at you like this is not helping anybody. Particularly that little boy in the cot in that bedroom over there. He needs his Mum to be calm and stable."
Bianca got up to make Amilia a cup of tea and when she came back Amilia sat for an hour listening to her
