I Loved The Temptations. I remember roller skating down our street in the sixties, with those metal roller skates you clipped to your shoes with a key.....with one of those pocket transistor radios, that ran on a little square 9v battery, that only got an AM channel, and it had a thing that went into your ear! Ours had a black leather carrying case, and it was dented up, my dad got it from somewhere for free, and gave it to my brother. When my brother wasn't home, I used to sneak into his room and "borrow" the radio.....Motown was all the craze back in those days. "Feel Good" Music. No matter what had happened during the day, at school or whatever, just having one of those songs come on the radio, made you feel good! We lived on a dead end street, so it was good for skating up and down it safely which I did alot, listening to Diana Ross and the Supremes, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, The Temptations, The Four Tops. Those were wonderful times for me. We kids in the neighborhood could play outside until it got dark, and then we all had to go in our houses.

Then our Country went to war with VietNam and everything in my childhood changed.....I believe, it was the end of my innocence, and believing that everything in life was good. All those years have went by the wayside somewhere along the way. Two kids of my own, and two grandkids now, But one thing that never changes, is good music, and true talent.....

Very recently, I was lucky enough to stumble upon the internet, to a website belonging to the son of Lead Singer of the Temptations, David Ruffin. (My Girl, Ain't Too Proud to Beg.....) His name is David Ruffin, Jr, and he just came out with a cd of his own. Yes, he can sing too. And he's pretty darn good! I bought his cd titles "All My Life" from CDBaby, and I have listened to it several times already. He is definitely Up and Coming! Someone worth watching as he follows in the musical footsteps of his Legendary Father. His music is inspiring, and he sings about people's everyday problems as they wander through this thing called life. I highly recommend, that you all give him a listen. His music certainly brought a smile to my face, and many happy memories of my childhood. But it is also current, to today's problems. The melodies are catchy, the lyrics are such that you can easily relate to them. Quite Frankly, I can't wait until he comes out with another CD, and we all start hearing him on the radio!

Who would have ever thought, that I, at age 50, would be listening to a combination of Hip Hop and Rythm & Blues!
