I love when you discover that your pregnant and the advice comes flowing from all directions. People telling you what's best for the baby or you when your pregnant. What to think or do in the future. No matter what family or friends may think of how you want to raise the children the advise will keep coming. I'd like to tell you that it stops when the children begin to grow, but it doesn't.

In fact, it only gets worse. You then get advice from all angles telling you how to handle discipline,rewards, health or education, etc. It may never stop, you can listen take in what you feel you agree with and apply the knowledge or ignore and go with what you feel is right. Instinct has always been the best route to take when raising children or just 'winging it' works too. We are adults and when the decision comes to become a parent you have the right to make the decision to raise them however you feel is best.

Family usually is wanting the best for you and your family. That is also a small thing to think about. You might not always like their approach or the advice but it's usually for the better. Hopefully they have the thought of letting you make your own mistakes and learning from them thats an important factor to consider too. Making the minor mistakes is the fun part of being a parent and usually the advise or judgments are coming from them making the same mistakes therefor trying to help you out in the long run.I myself am still trying to remember this every time I get the unwanted opinions of family or friends or even co-workers.

The advise and opinions will keep coming and so will the judgments, but as long as you have the will and know how you want to raise your children then it will happen for the best. Even if the family tries to butt in sometimes it can be for the best other maybe not. Who cares what the family thinks about it all the children are yours and yours alone thats the most important opinion to go by and that is your own.

My children and family are everything to me and I have so much more to worry about than what my family thinks I should do or don't in raising my children. I need to do and cherish everything that I want for them not what my family may want. It is not worth fighting over what they may think and being so judgmental in family, unfortunately it takes some longer to figure it out then others. When you become a parent it is the most import rule the think of what path you want for your children and hopefully your family can understand that they have passed on good raising skills and the freedom of choosing how to raise good children in the world.
