Good reasons for homeschooling your children

A great reason to home school, is the old saying "If you want something done right, You must do it yourself. I have tried all kinds of schools from public, magnet, charter and even private. All of them act as though we should be thanking them for a job they applied for. I actually have had teachers teach my child wrong geography. Their excuse was they don't have updated materials, but sitting on each desk is a computer? Teacher's have gotten lazy. School's have always had some violence in them since I was a small child. That in my opinion is a reason all in itself. It's sad to see the education system crumble so terrible. With the prices going upon everything these days, Now we must worry about who should stay home and teach our children.

In all fairness you can achieve a lot more with your child at home. First lesson to be taught is respect. Most of the class rooms i have been in have some child hanging over a window or jumping on their desk. At home you wont have this. Main reason, you won't have twenty to thirty kids to keep an eye on either. Your child gets every bit of attention he/she needs personally. Along with respect follows manners and patience. Your child will better learn these from you. Why you say? In my experience most teachers I have come across have a little if not all their hair in shambles by the end of the day. Seriously how much patience do you think they have with this magnitude of children?

To me one of the best reasons to home school, would be that you get to shape a mold the child's beliefs to your own after all they are your children. There are many bad habits and unwanted morals they pick up in a school day that you aren't exactly to hear. Bonding is the most valued aspect of home schooling. I have had many discussion with parents of school children. They often tell me, "Oh thats being to overprotective"! What amazes me the most about this is as one parent was saying this to me in a park my child was on a swing having fun while their child was running around near a busy street with a glass bottle they picked up from the ground. I kindly smiled and pointed at her child, She took off in hysterics. People really can be a bit unrealistic because they are afraid of things being out of the norm.

Not only can you achieve all the above goals with your child. The greatest part is you may do it on your own time in your own way. Sure you have to have so many hours completed on each subject, But that fly by so quickly than you can move
