You have seen web pages on the Internet, and wish to have one for yourself. For whatever reason you need it, creating a web page is not as difficult as you may have thought. The Internet is the best place to capture a wider audience for your business, and having a web page can help you to do so. Even non-business people have their websites telling the world about their passions, their interests, and who their favorite celebrities are.

Creating your own web page can be a thrilling, and wonderful experience especially if you are doing it for the very first time. However, before you start attempting to design your web page, it's best to register a domain name first, and then obtain a hosting account so that you can immediately host it once you are happy with it. The reason why I suggest that you register a domain name first because if you do not, someone else who also has the right, will do it. If he or she happens to be willing to sell the domain to you, you may have to pay a higher price for it. Therefore, it is better to get it first before someone else does. However, if the domain name you want happens to be taken, you may want to consider a .ws domain (www.website.ws) which is now gaining popularity. You can even earn some extra money by inviting others to have a .ws domain, all you have to do is to visit http://www.freedom.ws/raipod.

You can get either a free or a paid hosting account. I do not recommend the free ones especially if you are serious about making money for your business. Such services may also provide a free domain name for its customers which looks something like www.freehostingservice.com/yourusername, and it is acceptable especially if you only intend to have a personal website for fun. However, if you are serious in getting customers for your business, a proper domain name is better as it sounds more professional. Remembering it is even easier. Once you have your domain name and your hosting account, you can start thinking about designing your page. In the past, if you wanted to design a web page, you needed to know HTML which you would key into Notepad or Wordpad. Today, you do not really need to know HTML to create a simple but attractive web page. Some web hosting services have built-in wizards known as "Sitebuilders" for you to easily do the job. This can be very handy especially if you urgently need to show your business
