I recently started looking at ways to make money on the net, and was immediately pulled towards the world of blogging. After all what is not to like, blogging is mostly recording your thoughts on things you know about, and as many sites point out everyone knows something that someone else \doesn't know. But even in a case where you are not an expert in anything useful you can at least offer opinions. How much easier can it get, you write down your knowledge about some topic, or your opinion about something, create your own blog, or slap it on someone else's blog, and then money comes rolling in. It's Just like writing a book only shorter and without the need for a publisher, and according to some sites you don't even have to write that well. It all kind of reminds me of the Dire Straits song "Money for Nothing".
As I indicated above I was pulled to making money from blogging, mostly because there were so many sites telling me blogging was the way almost anyone could make money. Many of these sites of course are ran by bloggers hoping to make money luring people to their site, by way of offering tips so you can lure people to your site or blog. Which if you think about it, the fact that you went to their site at all, indicates that they are somewhat successful, and the most valuable tip they could offer is to explain how they got you to visit their site. Much of the advice however is the same from site to site with links to pay per click sites or affiliate programs, most of which is good information and some is actually very well written, if not always realistically portrayed. Some sites however recommend revenue tools that they don't even appear to be utilizing, which just leads me to think that if it's not worth their time and energy, why should it be worth mine, which further leads me to think, why should I listen to this person if they don't take their own advice.
The more I journeyed through the blogosphere looking specifically at making money through blogging, I became more and more aware that blogging for money and dieting have a lot in common. First there are a lot of people who desperately want to lose weight, and there are a lot of people who desperately want to make money by blogging. And anytime someone is desperate for something there are people who will be more interested in lining their pockets than actually helping you meet your needs. Most the dieters I know are continually looking for that magic pill (which so many people and companies are willing
