Made in America. . . or NOT
Gone are the days of plowing your field and reaping what you sow. Unfortunately, tilling your fields, and taking what you have grown down to the farmers market to trade for beef, or pork, or whatever it is you need to survive the winter are now obsolete. Now a days you need money. . . cold hard cash, or if you want to pay it off over the next twenty to twenty five years, a credit card. At any rate, bartering is no more. Bartering has been replaced by a remarkable thing we call the free market. The crazy thing about the free market is that it is any thing but free. It seems that the price of everything from food, to soaps, to cars, has done nothing but sky rocket, but why? Offshore outsourcing. . . that is why. Outsourcing to countries such as China is a great way to keep the price of products low, but at what cost? How do we weigh the cost of getting things inexpensive? There can't possibly be a down side. Or can there? Low prices are a definite plus, no one can deny it. Many people survive strictly because of Wal-Mart's low prices. Think back to when Wal-Mart first opened. They had a motto, Made in America. What happened to it? We need to get back to it. If we continue to rely on the products made in other countries, our economy will continue to plummet, the value of the dollar will decrease, and the American superpower will become one of the world's largest third world countries.
As the world economy starts to expand, corporations need to find ways to get things done using the most efficient and cheapest way possible. This means that out sourcing is going to be a must. Outsourcing is the act of hiring another business to handle some of the smaller tasks that need to be completed, even the larger things that you currently do not have the resources to. This is a great way to accomplish mundane tasks . . . or get different projects your company can not quite complete, finished done for you. The problem is, often times the cheapest way to get certain tasks done, is to hire companies in China, India, or other third world countries to complete things. They are great at doing things inexpensively, but this not only takes money out of the country, but hurts the economy, and jobs in the country. Be wary, because if we rely on these countries too much, we may become dependent on them and drive down our monetary exchange value. We are sending billions to other nations. Our exports are far exceeding our imports. We currently have one major
