The birds were singing as you took your last breath,
On that sunny july day when the angels took you away,
We wonder why they took our nan who was so full of life,
We still cry each day and the pain is still raw.
We still remember you're smile and the way you made us laugh,
When we stayed up all night talking and watching tv,
We remember you're scent and when we close our eyes we can remember the times spent,
We know you're at peace and happy up there, but we want you here our lives to share.
When we had our children we knew you was there, standing there smiling the proud great grandmother,
We know you watch over us all of the time how we miss you Nan,
We wish you was here to see how we have grown,
We know you would be proud you have no need to frown,
We think of you every day to keep bad thoughts at bay.
We love and miss you Nan

Poetry: Death of a loved one
by Judi B
Heaven Has My Hero Now
Heaven has my hero now,
My life with you is gone.
It's changed in oh, so many ways
But yet continues
"Never"
(In Loving Memory
For my Tattooed Queen)
Taken away before your time,
The debt paid before the crime,
Left but never
The Long Wait
The leaves fell down
Upon the autumn grass;
Frailty in every shade of red...
I sat by the window for a closer
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you
Neither sunrise nor sunset that I don't hear your voice
Or miss your laugh
And
Lights shine off in the distance
Nothing but blackness appears
There is resistance
Death whispers in my ear
He talks of a life
