EMMA-DOG
This dog is driving me crazy today
In or out she won't make up her mind
Whenever I'm writing she gets this way
If she's in she'll bark, if she's out she'll whine
I gave her food, I gave her a toy,
I took her for a nice long walk
I even gave her half of my bagel
Listen dog we have to talk
You sleep in my bed, I just get the corner,
my husband ends up on the couch
You drink from my toilet, you dig up my flowers
I'm sorry if I'm becoming a grouch
I spend more time second guessing your needs
than any woman should have to do
I have bought you every conceivable treat
and everything that a dog could chew
Hoping for just a little peace
to sit and do what I enjoy
yet here you are right at my feet
doing everything you can to annoy
We go on like this all afternoon
HE walks through that door and it comes to an end
Your so happy to see him, you jump for joy
Then you fall asleep! You're MAN's best friend.

As if he had something important to say.
His eyes were glazed and full of sorrow,
