MAKEUP BRUSHES

Next, it's time to tackle all of those makeup brushes. Gently scrub each cosmetics brush and makeup applicator with gentle soap and water.

Rinse each item thoroughly.

Stand all cosmetics brushes and makeup applicators upright in a cup to air dry before storing them for future use.

DISINFECTING THE MAKEUP DRAWER

Quite regularly, it's a super idea to disinfect your makeup drawer, cosmetics kit or other receptacle (wherever you store your makeup). Dust, debris and germs can accumulate inside, so you will want to do this fairly often.

Empty your makeup drawer or cosmetics kit completely. Wipe it down well with disposable disinfectant wipes or a clean, damp sponge and an antibacterial cleanser. Dry it thoroughly before placing makeup and beauty products back inside.

This is a great time to clean your travel toiletries or cosmetic kits as well.

REPLACE DISCARDED ITEMS

Here's the fun part.

Once you have tossed messy, soiled or otherwise expired cosmetics, makeup and beauty product, you can make a list of items you will need to replace.

Then it's time to head for your favorite department, discount, drug or grocery store to stock up on makeup. You may be amazed at the brand-new colors, styles and products that are currently available.
