Two kids one mom, the odds seem fair
Dad leaves early without a care
He has no clue what's in store
the minute he walks out the door
Where is my Saxophone one yells
Where is my collection of rare sea shells
I forgot I have a test today
All the countries of Asia my oldest will say
You need to eat more than a breakfast bar
I hope that your jacket was left in the car
Because it's not here and it's raining today
I think that I'm sick, my youngest will say
Maybe I should stay home, he'll start groaning
Oh yeah we've a field trip - and you're chaperoning
Where are the cupcakes I said I was bringing
Will you be at my concert today, I'll be singing.
I need some money for the store at school
Can you gel my hair, I wanna look cool.
What kind of sandwich did you give me today
Tuna? again? I guess it's okay. . .
My library book about Egypt and Rome
was due back yesterday but I left it at home
You slept in that Yankees shirt, I'll complain
But mom it's not dirty except for this stain
Brush your teeth and I said change that shirt!
Yeah, what she said - OW, that hurt
I can't find my shoe, It's not here anywhere
Take them off where we're told to, and it would be there!
Don't fight with your brother - I yell at him, Please!
They are finally ready, but I can't find my keys
We pull up to school we're 10 minutes late
I catch a glimpse in the mirror, I'm not looking so great
But because they are tardy, I must sign them in
Wearing flip flops and flannel, toothpaste on my chin
I grit my teeth and solemnly vow,
to get it together tomorrow somehow
And be one of those moms with nothing amiss
Perky and smiling, unaware in their bliss
I enter the office my head hanging low
The secretary glares, I sign and go
My kids head to class, and I head to the car
Hey mom, We forgot! . . . I don't get very far
Now what, I turn - as they race, Go slow!
Big hugs and kisses . . .
I love you

In the confession stall I sat
Hiding my teary eyes beneath a hat
"Forgive me father, I made a mistake.
I wanted to fix it,
He came over and he said:
Let's go down to the lake for awhile
we'll go fishin' cook up some chicken
I couldn't resist his
WEDDING NUMBER FOUR
I've already had three husbands
and the total's set to rise
most of the folk that I know
just can't believe
As I shaved your back this morning
You smiled and you said thanks
I did not miss one spot
From your neck down to your flanks.
You
Ms-ery
Love for me has been a drag,
I might as well have been a fag;
Instead of short and cute and witty,
I might be better
