Poetry: If only you knew me

by Alex Witnish

Created on: May 16, 2008   Last Updated: July 26, 2008

I look around,
taking in what I see.

Something feels missing,
I feel like there is a greater purpose,
that I was meant for something beyond this.

Do I know who I am? I wish I did.
All I know is my life feels empty, incomplete.

Some people think they know me.
How is this possible? I don't even know myself,

I guess I am just waiting for that someone,
that person to sweep me off my feet and take my breath away.
We all hope for love, my point of normalcy.
I want love that lasts until the end of all life itself.

Does it exist i wish i knew,
will I find love?
I wish so hard, please do!
