Created on: May 16, 2008

You think
You feel
You hope
But you never say...

A damp-eyed child
With streams of demand
Flowing down the cheeks
He screams, and he wails
Innocent and vaguely adorable
You're annoyed,
But you can only smile

Plodding two inches ahead
Her German accent
Cursing rapidly
This little, old lady
You're in a rush
But you can only play
The understanding game

My beautiful lover
Unwell and weak
She wishes to hug
And cuddle
And hoping aloud
Please don't leave me for
A game of soccer
I'm unwilling
But I can not just tell her
To please go back to sleep

The neighbour's mother
Laying in peace
Under the wooden lid
You know you shouldn't
You know you can't possibly...
But you already planned
Your engagement party

You think
You feel
You hope
But you just never say...
