How to make iced coffee

Everyday, Addictive Iced Coffee

There are a million different recipes that show how to make a good cup of iced coffee. Many require espresso machines or specific beans; they can be complicated and finding your inner barista is like hitting your head against a brick wall.

Coffee shouldn't be so complicated and flustering that the temptation to toss machines out the nearest window or drive to the closest coffee house, overpaying and wasting gas, is an option.

This is a simple recipe to create iced coffee without shelling out big bucks for fancy extras that that is so great, it is addictive! Once you've tried this one, you'll be completely hooked.

Needed Supplies:

...Coffee pot
...Cinnamon
...Paper filters
...Nutmeg
...Milk (preferably whole milk)
...Your favorite coffee
...Brown sugar
...Vanilla flavored liquid creamer
...A gallon container that is marked

The first step is preparing your coffee maker as if you were brewing a regular, full pot of coffee. Once the grounds are in the paper filter, sprinkle a half a teaspoon of cinnamon and a fourth a teaspoon of nutmeg on top. The spices should be spread as evenly as possible.

With the coffee brewing, it is time to add a cup and a half of brown sugar to the empty gallon container.

Once brewed completely, turn off the coffee and allow it to cool for 15 minutes. It needs to be warm enough to dissolve the brown sugar but cool enough that it does not cause the material to melt.

The next step is to pour the coffee into the container and stir until the brown sugar has blended.

On the side of the measured container, note that the coffee reaches close to the half full marker. This is very important as the milk must be added to match the coffee.

For example, if it reached to one quart, then the milk will be added in the same measurement. This ensures a creamy beverage.

Once the milk and coffee has been combined, stir in a cup of liquid vanilla creamer. If you are not a fan of vanilla creamer, other creamers can be substituted as long as they are also in the liquid form.

This needs to chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. After chilled, it is ready!

Any additional syrup flavors can be added to your individual cup but adding syrups to the entire mixture is not recommended.

Garnishments such as flavored sprinkles, whip cream, or chocolate drizzle are creative touches that provide a sophisticated pleasing look to this tasty treat!

The expiration date of the milk will be the same for the iced coffee.

Kick back, relax, and enjoy!
