I do not know of anyone who would not prefer to work at home in exchange from the 9-5. The market for work at home businesses and jobs has exploded and continues to grow day by day. One main reason for this phenomenon is the internet. The internet has made it possible for so many at home successes. But I must warn you they did not become successful by just getting a domain name and hosting a website or blog. As I grow and continue to learn there are steps that must be learned and followed to become financially independent.

At the beginning of my journey in the work at home arena, there were terms that I didn't understand and knowledge of the web that I had to gain. Most importantly I had a site that was sitting there looking pretty with no one there to see it. Oh, there are and were plenty of people on the net but not a one was looking at my "pretty" site. How do I get my site seen by others? I had to learn about getting my site in internet ready status which meant RSS, ping, feeds, directories, forums, back links, keywords, content, search engine optimization, ads, opt in email and of course article writing. These are critical for anyone looking to have a successful site. And with more and more sites added to search engines everyday please keep in mind the rules may and do change so make sure to follow any and all updates.

I came to the realization and found that blogs can be your main source of income. It is search engine friendly and most are free. Having a blog means that you can post whatever interesting content you want with advertisements and affiliate links . A blog can be about business, pleasure, politics etc. You can add new content to a blog much easier than a traditional website which means you can easily update it.

Working at home should not be stressful at all (that's the reason why we leave the 9-5). Starting a home internet business will take time. You should find a business that interest you. This way working will be a pleasure and will not feel so much like "work".
Do your research about starting this type of business on the net. Have patience and learn as much as you can.
So if this is your beginning(this cycle may be repeated),find your interest, research it,learn the abc's of the internet, apply it to your site, gain more knowledge, apply it, and remember that financial freedom from starting a business does not come overnight.
Be patient!
