I JOURNEY THERE IN ALL MY DREAMS
I long for buttercups and daffodils,
All of springtime's lovely frills.
For apple blossoms pink and white,
And, wishing stars that fill the night.
For moon glow in the midnight sky.
The flash of wild birds passing by.
Sparkling clear, rippling streams.
Golden rays of warm sunbeams.
I long for the fragrant rustling breeze,
Fresh green tendrils of willow trees.
I long for all the wonders I have known
Back in my rustic country home.
I know that I cannot return
To the things for which I dearly yearn.
And, yet in sleep, each night, it seems,
I journey there in all my dreams.
