Black Dog
I've lost my zest for life
Not even near feeling my best,
There's so much wrong,
All I've got are sad songs,
The blues has overtaken me,
Darkened my soul,
Filled me with sheer envy,
Many days I want to sit and cry,
Crawl under my covers and pretend to die.
This is an awful happening
You may know it yourself,
It's called
Depression.

There was a time I thought I knew
with certainty,
yet
