We face many challenges in our lives. The most common one in our everyday life is dealing with difficult people at home, at work, or out in public and in our social gatherings. Have you ever stopped to think about why these people are in our lives? Maybe God put difficult people in our lives for a purpose. It's to help us mature in gaining knowledge and wisdoms so that we are able to handle any other situations. The experience in dealing with difficult people prepares us for any challenges to come. If we fail to handle things properly, we end up repeating the problems over and over again until we finally get it. Some people do learn from their mistakes and unfortunately some don't and are not prepared when face with BIGGER issues.
I was faced with many issues in my life time. The issues I'd faced in the past had made me stronger and I've learned from the past mistakes when it comes to dealing with people. It was difficult then because I have not really gotten to know Christ. I wasn't able to control my temper. I was always about pride and blowing things out of proportions which escalated things and led to another.
When we are face with dealing with difficult situations, we need to meditate in God's teachings from the bible and apply it to our everyday life. For instance, when dealing with a difficult person, we cannot solve anything stooping to their level. We need to be the peace maker whether right or wrong. A fool cannot solve another fool's problem. It takes a wise man to win over a foolish man. Someone has to be the bigger person. God's words apply to our everyday life. We cannot always deal with our problems alone.
In dealing with difficult people, sometimes it's just best to pray for them after we done all that we can and it seem to go no where. We need to just let God work in a person's heart. Only God can heal a person's heart. With man it is impossible, but with God anything is possible. Who knows...maybe these negative people in our life might humble themselves one day. God's work is never done. He's in the work of changing, perfecting and molding each and everyone of us. However, we must be willing to allow him to work in our heart before we start changing others around us.
"Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fretit leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land." Psalm 37:7-9
