There are a lot of quality gift ideas for 13-16 year old boys. I taught middle school and high school boys and they have a lot of interests:

1. Video games are very popular with most boys. Find out what video game consoles they have before buying a game. Gamepot.com, Ign.com, and hundreds of other websites provide detailed reviews on games and gaming systems. If you have the money, three consoles were released in the last year. The Xbox 360, PS3, and Nintendo Wii game consoles are very popular consoles. The Wii and PS3 are only available in limited quantities.

I will break down my suggestions into categories:

First Person Shooters (FPS): F.E.A.R. - The hit PC shooter is now also on Xbox 360. The game combines excellent gameplay, suspense, horror, and realistic weapons.

Gears of War - Gamespot gave this incredible shooter a 9.6. The highest rate game on the Xbox 360, Gears of War utilizes stunning graphics, fun weapons, an advanced cover scheme, and incredible sound to create a lifelike game experience.

Resistance: Fall of Man - The highest rated game on the PS3 is considered one of the best launch games ever released. It boasts excellent graphics, superior environments, and cunning foes.

Role Playing Game s(RPG): World of Warcraft - The most popular Massive Multiplayer of all-time might also be the most addicting game ever. This PC game, played by 12 million people, will soon feature an expansion.

The Elder Scrolls IV - This is the premier rpg on the Xbox 360. It features a long campaign, revolutionary interactions with non-player characters, and impressive graphics.

Final Fantasy XII - The award-winning series for the Play Station continues with this worthy sequel. It features a great story and a new fighting system.

2. Many teens participate in sports. Find out what sports they enjoy, and buy gifts that suit that activity. If they ride skateboards, consider buying them gear or a skateboard. There are a large number of gifts available for players in team sports such as football, basketball, or baseball.

3. Find out what movies or music the teen enjoys.

4. Try to discover if the teen collects anything. Do they enjoy buying baseball cards, comic books, or Star Wars items?
