with the best. At one point in his career, he was the highest paid actor in Hollywood. In total, his films have grossed almost six billion world wide, a figure that should increase considerably when the fourth Indiana Jones movie hits theatres.

A self-proclaimed late bloomer, Ford had grown into his rugged good looks by 1981 when he starred in the first Indiana Jones movie. In fact, many might say he looked better at 40 than he did when he was 22. Most actors dread the passing of years, but Ford only grew better with age. It is no surprise than that he was chosen the Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine in 1998 at the age of 56.

Ford was born July 13, 1942 at Chicago, Illinois, USA. He currently lives on an 800-acre ranch at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The six foot one actor prefers to keep his private life private, so you won't see him on the cover of many rag magazines.

Not one to idle away the time, when Ford isn't acting, the private pilot might be seen flying from California to his ranch in his plane. A passion for flying, he began his training in the 1960's, but due to lack of money, he had to put off his dream for a few years.

Ford received his star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame on May 30, 2003. Long after its colour fades, his star will burn brightly in the hearts of his many dedicated fans. The legacy he has built and continues to create is comparable to that of John Wayne and Clint Eastwood.
