Poetry: Heartbreak

by Corey Holland

Created on: May 15, 2008

I've waited for you too many times,
I'm tired of your tries,
I'm tired of writing you these Rhymes,
Quite Frankly I'm tired of your lies,

In the end you were never here,
Even though you swore to come,
I even felt you when you were near,
You drove right me and acted dumb.

I stood there for hours waiting on you,
Because you said I'm on my way,"
I believed your words, thought they were true,
But still I haven't seen you to this day.

I'm washing hands of your words,
I'm clearing my ears of your voice,
Even though it's the sweetest I've never heard,
It's the only way, the only choice.

So we're over before we begin,
But I've decided I'm done with you,
And it's the happiest I've ever been,
I've had enough, it's over, I'm through.
