World of Warcraft has engulfed the attention of over 10 million online players across the world. It's an easy game to get addicted too and an easy way to blow an entire day. With any relationship you must understand ones desires for fulfillment and entertainment. Some play online games to pass time, some play to meet others online and others like the high of playing an online role playing game. Where else can you go and act like a burley dwarf or a stout gnome and not be judged for acting indecent. When you play any online game you must assess a healthy level of commitment to the game and to your spouses.
From a female stand point, it's hard to understand the male desire for video and online games. It is easier however to understand the desire for the game if you yourself become a player. I used to watch a roommate play World of Warcraft and 8 hours later he would emerge from his office for his first break. He offered time and time again to teach me to play the game. After putting off his invitation for a couple of weeks, I finally gave in and decided to give it a try. I started playing World of Warcraft at 7:00 pm and didn't get up from the chair till 2:00 am. I'm glad I decided to give the game a try because it was an exciting game to play and I enjoyed playing with people from around the world.
I met many people online, men and women who would share their experiences with the game with me. Ironically most of the women who played online were either married or in relationships with other World of Warcraft players. I met many families who played online. I knew a gal who played with her two sons and husband on a regular basis. It was a way for all of them to spend time together and enjoy doing something they all liked. World of Warcraft not only offers you an online game experience, it gives you the opportunity to communicate other people and make friendships.
Along with making friendships, you can join a guild and play with these folks in instances/raids. So anyone can see why this game could become addicting. It's important to balance your game playing with relationships outside the game. I actually met my husband playing World of Warcraft. After we moved in together, we would still play together but we made sure to get out of the house frequently. We didn't want the game to be our life and we needed to develop a relationship outside the game. We went to movies, out to eat and went for many walks.
After we were together for 6 months, we played World of Warcraft
