Pros and cons of writing on Constant Content

Constant Content is one of the most intriguing paid writing sites on the web. The site has an intimidating structure that scares most people off before they even begin, evidenced by the fact that even after years of existence the number of authors listed on the right hand side of the page is only a few dozen as opposed to the countless number of writers submitting to most sites. If you can get past what seemed to be a confusing layout from the author's point of view you will find one of the most potentially rewarding paid writing sites on the net.

As with any paid writing site there are positives and negatives. Since I am an optimist and love this site I would prefer to get the negatives out of the way first. But do not let my love of this site fool you-many have no use for it. I will present the facts as I have found them and leave it for you to draw your own conclusions.

CONS

As I mentioned in the first paragraph, the site is hard to navigate for the beginner.Once you get used to it things move much more fluidly but the layout of the site is highly confusing to many writers. Unlike every other writing site I have encountered this one caters not to the writer but to the purchaser of the writing. Since they act as a broker between writers and people looking to their pieces a shift in emphasis from the norm is understandable. But ninety percent of the site does not speak to the authors at all. Even their Frequently Asked Questions section is entirely concerning the questions a potential buyer might have and answer none of the writers' worries!

The forms themselves are a pain to write out. In addition to just turning in your article you have to do many other things that you would not have to do on other sites. You have to give the exact word count for your article. You have to write a summary. And these things had better be right the first time because you cannot change them.

The standards for acceptance are enormously rigid. Think of it like an English teacher out of your worst nightmares. The slightest grammatical or spelling error will result in the entire article being rejected point blank. That is just the beginning. The vast majority of submissions are not accepted simply because they are not high quality enough. Even though there is no set standard for writing per se-other than a handful of the usual rules-the emphasis seems to be on lengthy articles with an extremely large vocabulary. If your article does not contain at least one four syllable word then do
