Opinion only, I believe George and Karen Lutz are scam artists and will do anything to keep profiting off the DeFeo Murders for as long as can.
To be honest, I think that George and Karen found out about the DeFeo murders, found out the house was up for sale, purchased it and plotted a story that people would be talking about for years to come. And we are.
George and Karen Lutz claim that they were "harassed", "stalked" and "terrorized" by the voices and happenings of demons. Give a break!
Don't forget that the Lutz's were eyeball deep in dept and that they could not make any type of payments whatsoever.... until now.
Ronald DeFoe, Jr claimed he heard voices that told him to kill his family, which he took back in court records stating, "That his lawyers told him to say that so he could avoid the gas chamber". To this day, Ronald DeFeo, Jr still claims that there were no demons and that he killed his family. Reason? Unknown.
The DeFeo Murders were a high profile case. It was all over the news, front page of newspapers and on the radio. Now, George and Karen Lutz claim to have no knowledge of the murders when the purchased the house. Question. How can they know nothing of the murders when it was plastered everywhere and people were talking about it? Do they not watch television, read the newspaper or listen to the radio?
For twenty-eight days the Lutz Family plotted out the wildest and scariest scam know to date.
They made people believe that they were being "haunted" and people fed into the scam making it more real each and everyday. Their house soon became pack with mediums, sensitives, and psychics. Including, Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Ed and Lorraine Warren are "suppose" to be "the best psychics" around, but are they really? I had no idea who they were until they became involved with the Lutz Family. The Amityville scam made them famous and that's when people started to believe that the Warrens were "the real deal". Give me a break!
My favorite part of the Lutz Scam along with the "psychic claims" of the Warrens; was the picture that was taken in the upstairs hallway showing three open bedroom doors. In the bedroom door to the left of the picture, where you can see a boy between eight-years-old to ten-years-old starring at the camera lens while leaning on the right side. The boy is so defined that you can even tell that's he is wearing Harry Potter like glasses.
Lorraine Warren said that the boy was not a boy; but a demon disguised watching their every move to what was
