anti frizz styling lotion to achieve a silky smooth finish.

2. Make a low or high ponytail depending on where you would like your bun to sit.

3. Twist your hair from the end until it is tight, and then wind it around the hair tie in a circular manner. Pin into place. You can cut the hair tie out if it is still visible.

4. Spray the style with shine spray.

THE MESSY UP DO

Similar to the last style, but a little more modern and perhaps one of the easiest style to master.

You will need:

-A blow-dryer with a diffuser attachment

-A light styling lotion

-Shine spray (if you can get one with a little hold this will also help your hair stay in place)

-Some bobby pins that match your hair tone. These also come in variations suited for light through to dark hair.

Instructions:

1. Apply a light styling lotion to damp hair

2. Blow-dry your hair with the diffuser attached. If lightly scrunch your hair as you dry this will give your hair some texture.

3. Don't worry about creating a ponytail first with this style as it should be a lot looser. Twist the hair lightly and pin into place leaving some ends sticking out. You can tease these ends to give them a bit more oomph if necessary.

4. Spray your hair with a touch of shine spray.

SHORT HAIR OPTIONS

It is probably true that you have fewer options if your hair is short, but you can still achieve a different look to your everyday style. The simplest way is to add some form of decoration such as a flower or diamante clip. Try a different part to normal and add some shine or a light glitter spray.

If you have enough hair creating some spiky twists at the crown can look good. Take sections of hair that sit at crown height and twist them until you have just the end of hair left. Pin into place and tease the end of the hair so that it sticks up. Create these twists across the crown of your head.
