An overview of the American Nazi Party

by Larry Smart

Created on: May 14, 2008

The American Nazi Party's primary issue is that of race. The recent importance of the issue of illegal immigration and its nation-wide media attention are being taken advantage of by this party in order to expand their ranks, grow their party, and raise money. The party focuses on "a better future for our children" by eliminating the "majority" of Americans, who are not of the pure "white" race. Scare tactics referring to the dwindling numbers and political influence of white people are used in addition to pessimistic economic views of a society that is comprised of mixed races. Non-whites are seen as invaders who had no part in founding the United States and therefore should not have any right to live here.

The economic policies of the ANP are socialist in nature. They denounce capitalism as "greed" and blame it for the current ethnic makeup of the United States. The greedy capitalists' desire for cheap labor and low production costs is cited as the reason for the betrayal of the white people who supposedly founded this country. This greedy demand for cheap labor and low production costs is also cited as the reason why the ANP is a minor/other party rather than a major player in the American political arena, and this is the reason why the white American's influence has been relegated to minority status.

These ideas are not at all popular in American society today. Institutional racism in America today is virtually a thing of the past. The idea of the inferiority of certain races in comparison to others is all but gone among the younger generations, and is often ridiculed where it is still found. The fear-tactics used by the ANP that speak of the white race as something that is dying, dwindling, and losing influence are not considered to be important at all, since the color of skin has lost so much of its importance in the minds of the vast majority of Americans.

Aside from the racist agenda, the ANP offers little other than the idea of a totalitarian, socialist regime which is an idea that is not at all popular. For most of those who favor socialism without the totalitarian/militant aspect, the Democrat and Republican parties are usually sufficient, so going to a third party is not necessary.

Polling data shows that 90% of the population would vote for a president they like regardless of his skin color. This data doesn't bode well for the ANP, whose only core issue seems to be that of skin color. While the issue of illegal immigration is at the forefront of
