Poetry: Love at first sight

by Alena Savoy

Created on: May 14, 2008

From the moment i met you,
I knew it was love.
I knew you were the one
The one to love and cherish;
All of the above.
The first few months of talking
we had a great time
I knew in my heart you were going to be mine.
But how was this going to work?
You had to go back home
I was willing to try.
I wasn't going to lose you!
If I wasn't with you, I'd surely die!
So we talked for a few more months,
Long distance and all
Then I finally decided to move.
We lived together for a few months,
But I really missed my mom.
You said you'd do anything to make me happy
So we took that old bus down.
29 hours later, we were back in Louisiana.
Home sweet home.
Now we have our own place
and I couldn't be happier
Thank you for giving me
My Happily Ever After.
