Love does not die, unfortunately,
You can try to push it from your mind
You can mask it with excuses and tears
But try as you may,
You can't make love die
The words that brought it to an end
Are burned with fire inside your heart
The dagger of goodbye still intact
Love does not die, though you pray,
That a power greater than you can prevail
In wiping all the feeling away
That causes such eternal pain
Love cannot be swept under the rug
Like some tiny piece of dust you try to hide
Love born does not find a stopping place
Only a safe harbor inside the spirit of it's host
Who would barter with the devil himself
To be rid of the thing called love
Unquieted love that does not die
