Racism exsists in our everyday lives. You can see it around you, on a consistant basis. It does not just come from the color your skin. You find it in other ways. Such as the need of your wealth, if your income is not in the right group. Then your not considered exceptable. Some way or another people express some form of racism. Looking at it, you may fill it's not. During your childhood, preteen and adult hood. You have experience some sort of social injustice. It's up to the individual to make the changes to each situation. Empower the ability not to judge your fellow man.
Everyone deserves equality in the persute of the American dream. Racism stems back for generations, yes skin color was a main factor in the early civil rights movement. Being treated equal has and will always be a common factor in American Society. One must consider these basic tasks to finding justice and peace to the social causes. Do I respond to the negative behavior, with negative behavior,or commit to another venue to open the minds to social changes. Freedom comes at a price, what price are we willing to pay.
Do you except it as is,or do you exercise your god given right to equality. Remember Thurgood Marshall, fought the education fight for all blacks. Now the right is being abused, by whom you say. The one who no longer wears the white sheet. Just the white collar on his or hers shirt. Yeah sounds ridiculous or paranoid right, no. Imagine your child being told, because they choose to be an individual,if she choses not to be apart of group that not in her best interest. Her choices bothers others, including the one whom she supposed to trust, to respect her rights to a quality education.
The Assistant Principal, posed a question to my child, you don't have any friends."My child replies,I have associates". She then asks the same question again,still " my child replies, I have associates. We both looked at each other and at that very moment just smiled. It was our personal joke we do, when some body assumes they have intimidated us with words. All this came about, because of another student in class,attacked my child. The student attempted to change a point assignment on the chalk board. These points are earned after each group assignment.
The female student was erasing the points,in order to cheat. My child ask that hers not be change. She clearly stated, if that's what I earned then that's what it is. The student slapped my child in the face 3 times, she defended herself. Yet she got
