I have always been a giver.I give from my heart.
I used to give what I did not have to give because
I thought it the right thing to do.
But then one day I woke up,so to speak, and low and
behold I learned this was not the case at all.Giving
is really nice but receiving is just as nice, and much
needed for the whole of humankind.
For to many years I deprived myself the joy of receiving.
I gave, but I guess pride stepped in and took my gift.
I was told one day that I was selfish,I said excuse me!
How can this be I give so much, sometimes I have nothing
left for me.So my friend said don't you see with this
kind of attitude you deprive me,for I know you are hurting
and you won't let me help you. You send me away and reject
my gift of giving to you.
Well to be sure I was dumb founded to say the least.I had
never thought of this before. But I have sense learned that
I took their joy away of giving to me! wow what a wake up.
Giving and receiving comes together. The sharing of all things
Today I am so glad my friend had the courage to speak this
truth to me as now I know of it's full meaning, and enjoy the
best of both worlds.
I still love giving ,but sense pride left I so enjoy the precious
gift of receiving also. What a wonderful feeling to share and care
one for the other.
With this kind of attitude we all can be a more happier people.
My heart became renewed, because I was becoming an unhappy giver
and did not even no it.But thanks to the sharing of a kind word,
I too get to enjoy and now feel more complete, for doing so.
So no! sharing and giving are equal partners.Together they become
like a good marriage.I believe what we put out ,we get back two
fold.So today when I give I receive. This is the rule of life.Is
this not a wonderful walk.To miss out on this sharing would be a
sin.
So give with all your heart, and the gifts will follow you all
over. What a wonderful thing I learned by being open to what
life has to teach us,and by learning from another.
I don't know at this point which gift is greater. They are both
awesome in and of themselves. The both warm the heart and soul.
Life becomes more complete when we learn this valuable lesson.
There is nothing more enjoyable than when we all can give one to
the other in peace and harmony and with love, knowing it will be
well received on all sides.
I still would rather give. But oh the joy of getting what we need
in return,is a beautiful feeling. It has the making of a more
complete life
