Tips for buying prom shoes

For only one night, you have the opportunity to make a statement. You have the dress, make-up, nails, and hair, as well as, accessories ready, however; you are still in desperate need of the perfect shoes. Choosing the wrong shoes can and may ruin your entire night. Do you really want to take that risk? Without shoes, your prom ensemble is just incomplete. With these helpful tips, you are destined to turn your shoe shopping experience into an amazing one.

DO choose a shoe that is "you" rather than what is popular. The ultimate key ingredient to searching for the perfect shoe is finding a shoe that is "you" rather than what is popular or considered to be cool. Although trends are socially acceptable by the vast majority of status quo society, they are rather banal and not everyone can pull them off. In an effort to find the perfect shoe, you must look for a shoe that compliments your outfit. Something that is original, yet polished and presentable.

DO NOT buy a shoe that doesn't fit. When discovering beautiful shoes, please find a shoe that fits you. If you are a regular size 8 or 7 and you try to wear a size 4, it just isn't going to work. If you are a size 5 and you attempt to wear a size 9, it is simply just not going to work for you. Why take the chance of ruining your evening, wearing shoes too small or too big? The key is finding a beautiful shoe that is also available in your size.

DO wear simple looking shoes with more formal dresses. If you are wearing a gorgeous dress, the last thing you want is a shoe that gets more attention. They key is simplicity. You want a shoe that enhances your look and makes a statement. When it comes to prom, it's all about appearance and when people look at you, they will look at everything from your shoes to your dress. Will they judge you? Absolutely.

DO NOT wear shoes that don't compliment your simple look. If you have a simple looking dress, that is rather beautiful, but isn't extremely formal, the key is finding beautiful shoes that compliment your look. If your dress is champagne shade of gold, the secret is finding a shoe that compliments the shade. A shoe that is more formal than the dress. This will allow you to look polished and ready to show others what you stand for.

DO separate colors from shades, when choosing a shoe. It is important to separate colors from shades, when choosing your shoes based on color. Some shades include: black, white, and gray, as some colors include: red, purple, and orange. Every color has
