Bananas naturally contain three different sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose bananas also include a great source of fiber. Eating just one banana gives an immediate, constant and significant boost of much needed energy. Research has proved that by eating just two bananas will give you the energy needed for a 90-minute workout.

Eating bananas can help you to overcome and will help you prevent a significant number of different illnesses, this makes the banana a must for any persons healthy diet.

Depression: A recent survey that was conducted by MIND concluded that when people suffering from depression ate a banana, many of the patients felt a lot better. The reason for this is simple - bananas contain what is known as tryptophan. This is a type of specific protein that your body then turns into serotonin. Serotonin is known to help you to relax properly, improve your general mood and thus make you feel much happier than before.

PMS: Forget the pills and the fads - eat a banana instead. Bananas contain the vitamin B6 and it contains what is known as regulates blood glucose levels. This also helps improve your mood.

Anaemia: As bananas have very high iron levels, by eating a banana it can stimulate the much needed production of haemoglobin in the blood stream.

Blood Pressure: Bananas are enormously high in what is known as potassium and they are extremely low in salt, this makes bananas the perfect way to be able to beat blood pressure. As bananas are so healthy and they can reduce the risk of strokes and high blood pressure, the US Food and Drug Administration use the claim in their advertisements.

Brain Power: At least 200 students at a school in Middlesex were assisted throughout the exams they had to sit by eating bananas at every meal - breakfast, break, and lunch. Research has shown that bananas being a healthy, nutritious potassium-packed fruit can aid learning power by making the students much more alert.

Constipation: As bananas are extremely high in fiber, they can improve bowel action, making bananas better than taking over the counter laxatives.

Hangovers: A freshly made banana milkshake, sweetened with a little organic honey is one of the best hangover remedies available. The banana in the milkshake helps to calm the stomach when you have a hangover; the honey helps to builds up your minimal blood sugar levels. The milk soothes and also helps to re-hydrates your body.

Heartburn: Because the banana has a great and a natural antacid effect in your body, it is brilliant for combating heartburn.

Morning Sickness: This is a common side effect of pregnancy and there are not many real ways to stop it. Eating a banana when you start to feel ill or in between meals can help keep you blood sugar high, this will help to avoid morning sickness.
