Idealistically country music television has become so popular because we can relate to most of the story lines they project. Country music is portrayed through feelings and the proverbial "Some one done some one wrong song".
Earlier stars such as Hank Williams SR. and Patsy Cline painted many mental pictures in our minds. Now with Music videos giving the music a visual time line to the music, has made it much better with relating it to reality.
Faith Hill's music video "Breath" is my all time favorite. She shows so much femininity in this video with her words and sexuality. Though her words would have been enough, the visualization of her laying under those satin sheets really appeal to most of her male and female viewers.
Hank Willams Jr's remake of the video, "Tear in my beer" with his legendary father showed the technological advances that have been made in the last thirty years of the entertainment business. The video gave us the opportunity to share these two great country singers love of one another through their music.
Toby Kieth has taken country music videos to a lighter and more fun side through his music. Hits like "I should have been a cowboy", "I'm not as good as I once was", "Beer for my horses", the one video that includes "Willie Nelson", touched on the cinematic side of all viewers comparing historical fact with every day crime in the United States.
The last video that Johnny Cash made before June's and his death, touched so many lives across the world. Both legends dying with in months of each other seemed a fitting way for two people that were so in love with one another through the years, be portrayed by John's last video song that he made about getting old and living with memories of the past and present.
These videos touch people's lives and through the miracle of video music will live long through the rest of our generations lives as well. The well produced videos will always be a treasure to us country music lovers. Some touch us deeper than others but that is what makes us human and that is why we relate to music videos so much.
Shania Twain's videos have all hot blooded American men drooling at the mouth when every she releases a new video. Her sex appeal to her audience made her a super star over night and with the use of video launched her career to stardom.
Reba, Kenny Rodgers, Willie Nelson, along with many other country music entertainers have paved the way for other rising stars to make videos of good taste. Not like you see on the hip hop side of music entertainment today. In country music, you need to leave something to the imagination.
